Color coding in Report definition

Hi,

I have a requirement to implement color coding in a report definition. This report definition is using grouping and we are displaying the count. The number of columns also changes dynamically hence used OOTB functionality on run report definition even on click and the results will be displayed in tree structure in OOTB section RRBody. Now we have to display the count value in different colors based on some parameters. For example we are displaying the count of resolved work items, now if the count contains any resolved-withdrawn then the count color should be green, if there are any resolved-cancelled then it should be red in such ways. Is there any way to implement this?

Hi Deepak,

Thanks for suggestion. I have tried it by including the code in the 3rd png file

the values are getting displayed in different colors. But the problem is to check our condition with the results(as i mentioned in the first query)  not on count. 

I tried to call activity inside control and fetch the results in that activity, applying conditions and fetching the results, but here i am unable to pass the parameters to the activity from the report definition active row on which the count is present (like a3018  (label, workid, entered on column values)  in the 5th png file you attached). Any idea on this?

Hi Venkat,

please find the below steps to set colors for your requirement

1) create Section Assign-.setcolor. inside section set color codes to layouts based on your conditions.

2) use that same section in report defenition mapped section. so based on conditions colors will display in your report definition section.

Hi Venkat,

We need to display the results by grouping and the number of columns will also differ sometimes based on conditions, so we are using the OOTB section RRBody, hence unable to modify the section
