Unable to launch Virtual Box
When I try clicking on the Virtual Box icon on my desktop, it will not run. I have run the 'Repair" option. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. All to no avail. I have VM Ware v12.xx loaded. Does this compete with VB?
I run W7, 64 bit. I'm trying to start PME 7.13.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

That part was not occurring on my machine. However, I seem to be operational so far. It dawned on me that I might need to disable my Norton 360 before trying to install. It worked!
Thank you very much for your input these past few days. I appreciated all of it.

any errors? did you check the task manager to see if the process is actual running? maybe checking windows event manager to see if there is anything there. I assume you are trying to run some VMs from PegaAcademy, right?

I am trying to run the Pega Marketing Enablement 7.13 ML9.vbox
No errors appear and nothing shows up in Task Manager.
I did notice that when I installed the program, it placed the file in C:\Programs\Oracle\VirtualBox. When I tried installing another time I directed it to place it in C:\Programs (x86)\Oracle\Virtual Box. Unfortunately, it did not make a difference.
I came across a suggestion from a post in the Virtual Box forum.
Some had been successful using a run command “C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxmanage.exe startvm PegaMarketingEnablement7.13ML9.vbox (I am not sure if the way I have written this string is correct as far as where spaces belong)
When I tried to download this onto my company laptop, it flagged this as corrupt and stopped the download.
I wasn’t successful in running this. I have deleted the program and reinstalled this program around six times
Appreciate your responding
Cheers !

I forgot one other thing.
When trying to uninstall VBox I get this error: I did a search and could not find this anywhere.

did you install the latest version of virtualbox? Can you see the virtualbox manager?

Kevin:
The version I downloaded is Proprietary information hidden1
I also downloaded the VB Extension Pack.
The site I went to is the link on page 2 of the VM Quick Start Guide.
I do have an icon on my desktop; is this the VB Manager you mentioned? I am attaching a word doc showing the applications that were loaded into Programs\Oracle\VirtualBox.
I have a clarification to make. The error message I sent earlier appeared when I tried to “Repair” or “Change” prior to uninstalling.
Cheers !

Hi Larry,
You may have better luck posting to the Pega Academy forums (https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/pega-academy-down) or reaching out to [email protected] as they normally handle these types of issues.
