Unable to launch url for Pega Marketing Enablement 7.2.1
I am using the latest version 7.2.1. When I start the VM i am able to get the screen in VM giving http:// Proprietary information hidden/. I tried to launch the URL in the browser. I am not getting any response and after some time i am getting proxy error.
Please help me out. I have done more than 5 times all the configuration changes and remove and deployed the vm again. But still not able to resolve the issue.

Hi,
We need to establish I this is a network or VM issue. Could please try the following
From a command prompt on your PC could issue ping Proprietary information hidden.
login into the VM image username: teuser password: password. and issue the following command
ps -ef | grep java and send me the screen shot of the output.

As an alternative to the downloadable exercise system, we have now the ability to do exercises on the cloud for all decisioning & marketing modules on 7.21.
Just log back into your course/module on PegaAcademy, and in the Exercise, you will see on the first page the ability to request a cloud instance.
Can you please try this alternative and let us know your experience?

p.s. in parallel we can of course help you to get things working on premise since we have 1000s of active students successfully running it on premise.

Hi,
I am afraid I have few more questions:
1, Which version of Virtual Box are you running. You will find it in Help->About Vistual Box
2. Can you run any other VM using your configuration?
3. Navigate to File->Preferences. Select Network and then host only network. Do you see virtual Host-only Ethernet adaptor?
4. Issue ifconfig command in a cmd box. Do you see 192.168.56,1 ipv4 address.
5. Can you check with your IT if they are blocking any local access.
I would be happy to set up a screen share session with you (if possible) or have a call to go through the options.

Hi Pal,
I am using oracle vm Version 5.1.22 r115126 (Qt5.6.2)
I tried to run other VM also , facing the same problem.
In the ipconfig i am able to see the Proprietary information hidden ip4 address
I fear that our network is allowing only 80 port i am suspecting. Will it be the problem for this issue?
if so could you please sugget that i can able to run the machine on port 80?
also how can i contact your. please suggest.

Hi,
First the good news:
***** All 7.21 course have now a cloud instance interface. Simply navigate to practice what you learn lesson and request it. The instance is available for about 3 hours, more if you are using it.
In response to your post
The issue may be connected top the version of the virtual box you are using. All our tests were performed on 5.0.22 and 5.0.32. To check it you will have to re-install VB.
The port number should not be a problem. We redirect port 80 to 8080, so from your stand point you should be accessing port 80.
Can you check if you see the Host Only adapter? as per Q3 above.
