unable to cast COM object type 'Microsoft.Office..Interrop.Excel.ApplicationClass...
Hi,
Anyone encountered this type of error "unable to cast COM object type 'Microsoft.Office..Interrop.Excel.ApplicationClass..." when using the microsoft excel object to open excel file.
How can we resolve this? Currently using Pega runtime 19.1.76 on a machine with OS ver 20H2.

@NelsonD5355 Depending on the full error, it might mean that you have the wrong version of the Office connectors installed. When you install Studio (or Runtime), you select a version of Office that the machine will be running. If you selected the wrong version, you could see an error like this. You can check what version you specified by looking in your RuntimeConfig.xml in your installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Pegasystems\...Runtime). There should be a section like the one below.
<add key="OfficeVersion" value="2019" />
If this is incorrect , then you should perform an uninstall and a re-install to select the correct version. If it is correct, then you might post the full error. That might help narrow it down.
