Is there any way to send email without connection to work item?
Hi everybody.
OOTB activities like SendCorr need a work item and a lock for it to attach email as attachment. My goal is to send email to operator everyday on chosen time (9:00 for example).
- I have an agent that awakes every morning in 9:00, takes tasks and send correspondence.
- Task contains work item ID that I need to lock to send correspondence.
- But if this work item is locked, a new task is generated for agent an next try to send email will be only tomorrow.
Actually, I don't need to update work item and its attachments. Is there a standard way to simply send email to operator?

Hi,
What is task that the agent needs to perform ? If it has something to do with the work-object property ( for example check deadline time or check value of some property ) then you have to acquire a lock and check and then send correspondence.
On the contrary, if it has nothing to do with the work items and you just want to send some regular notification ( like scheduled report etc. ) then you can make it work independently by calling activities like SendEmailNotificaiton
