I need to extract a piece of text (an integer) out of an email or attachment and assign that value to a property.
I've created the Text extraction within Prediction studio and tested and works.
I've then imported that into the email channel within Dev Studio in the Text Analyzer section. Assigned the Entity to map to the Case Property, tested within the channel and it returns the correct matched entity. However, when actually testing this with an email in the mailbox that is being listened too or testing through the portal this property is not being picked up.

Is your extraction model RUTA based or machine learning based?
Can you add System entities extraction model in Text analyzer and see if some or any of the entities are getting detected in email case?
Are entities detected? You can see this via 'View analysis' link
Is the email language detected properly? You can see this via 'View analysis' link
It is also possible that EmailParser is removing that part of email as salutation, signature or disclaimer and discounting it from text analysis. Can you check on clipboard if the text you want to be identified is part of the text being sent for analysis? Look for this property - pyWorkPage.pxAnalysis.pxBody(1).pyInteractionRun.pyDecisionResponse.pyNLPOutcome.pyInputText
