SQL database triggers are no longer supported in pega 8 ?
In CRM and CRMI 8.4 upgrade guide documents , it is mention below as one of the optional prerequisite tasks.
"Optional: Because SQL database triggers are no longer supported, before you upgrade the application, have your database administrator check for and drop triggers"
what is the alternative approach if our system contains with SQL triggers ? how we overcome from this ?
Is this affect only for SQL triggers ? what will be the affect for pega triggers (Declare Triggers)?
also we are planing a pega 8.4 upgrade from 7.1.7 before to the CRM and CRMI upgrade .is this also applicable in pega 8.4 ?

Please share the currently installed CRM version. Are you using triggers on custom tables or custom triggers which points to OOTB tables. Pega Declare Trigger should work as expected.
