Smart Disputes: Travel & Entertainment Services Not Provided/Not as Described and Merchant Voucher Issued
The following MCC codes drive SD to present specific questions for the Travel & Entertainment Services Not Provided/Not as Described and Merchant Voucher Issued rules.
The condition/question – “The merchant provided a voucher for future use in lieu of a refund and that provision of voucher was properly disclosed in the merchants terms and conditions” does not always apply to T&E related chargebacks and is resulting in users not being able to process a chargeback (Process liability or Chargeback rights do not exist......).
In some cases, the disputed transaction (with any of the above MCC codes) is a Goods and Services Not Provided where the merchant had no intention of providing a voucher nor did the merchant cancel (i.e. concert tickets were just not provided after purchase).

QUESTION: Based on the above information, should transactions with the MCC codes highlight above be considered within the Goods and Services Not Provided process flow before the T&E flow being triggered?
