Simulating connector data activity

Connector simulators can be set up for most connector types. First create the simulation activity for the connector. Then configure the activity for the connector. The only purpose for the activity is to invoke the data transform. can the product make changes to invoke the data transform without the simulation activity? Please see attached.

If Pega provides this then it would be great and your application will have less warning. However you can utilise data source simulation where Data Transform can be referred instead of activity.
