Simulation activity not picking default value

Hi All, I have created simulation activity for rest connector. I am passing JSON response as input to it and converting that response to page using pxConvertStringToPage. When I run this activity standalone its picking default value JSON and running fine. But when I run this activity from Data page which in turn calls simulation connector default value is not passed. Could some one help here? How to pass default value JSON to activity or any simulation examples, please share.
