Saving Log File on another location/file
Is there a way to save certain log messages on another location/file elsewhere other than the default log file. If so, what are the step to implement it?
I am working with Pega 7.2.2.

Is it the pega logs or server logs you want to save somewhere else?
For pega logs you update the appender in prlogging.xml file.

Yes, you can do that by updating prlogging.xml file. Please follow the below example for your reference.
Add below mentioned changes in prlogging.xml to enable debug level logging and restart the application server.
<appender name="CustomLog" class="com.pega.pegarules.priv.util.FileAppenderPega">
<param name="FileNamePattern" value="'CustomLog-'yyyy-MMM-dd'.log'"/>
<layout class="com.pega.apache.log4j.PatternLayout">
<param name="ConversionPattern" value="%d [%20.20t] [%20.20X{app}] (%30.30c{3}) %-5p %X{stack} %X{userid} - %m%n"/>
</layout>
</appender>
<category name="com.pega.pegarules.session.internal.async.agent.QueueManagerImpl">
<priority value="debug"/>
<appender-ref ref="CustomLog"/>
</category>
Note : This appender configuration differ from app server to app server. Above changes are for Tomcat.
