Report Filters
hello! i have a requirement that i should filter the available venues according to the already booked details. for this, iam using date properties for the event start date and end date. can anyone help me with the filters i should use to get the appropriate result.

@MS91781 thanks for the reply ! i have gone through the steps you have mentioned. but, i think i need more insight of this. let me tell u one more time. i have the venue details in one datatype and the booked dates in another one so i should filter the available venues for the upcoming events by using those booking dates. i hope you can understand the explanation and will help me with this.

If i understood correctly, Venue details are saved in Table1 and Booking details are saved in Table2. Now , you want to retrieve unreserved venue details for a given time span.
To achieve this,
- Create a Sub report to fetch booked venue details for given time span. Use "The difference in days between [Earlier Date Value] and [Later Date Value]" function to calculate the days between StartDate and EndDate. And, then pass this value to Booking Date as a filter.
- Output from Sub report should be booked Venue Name
- Call that Sub report in Main report definition rule and use filter condition as Table1.Venue != SubReport.Venue ( here eliminating already booked venue for given time period), which pulls unreserved venue details.

Hi Ajay,
Please enable "Display Filter Using Custom Section" option in Report Viewer tab to meet your requirement. Once you enable the this flag, it shows below three fields and fill as below.
then use DateFilter.StartDate and DateFitler.EndDate as a filter conditions to report definition. Hope this helps you , let me know if you need any additional information.
