How to edit the OR and AND in report definition filter?
Hi all,
We have a RD with some filter conditions e.g. A and B (C or D). We have a requirement to let user be able to modify the ANDs and ORs in the filter condition i.e. so that the filter condition could be any combination of A or B (C and D), A and B (C and D), A or B (C or D) etc.
How would we achieve this?

Hi @alfin.putra, If this specific report is given to user in report browser / as a report definition, then the user can edit the report and can change the conditions as required using edit report option. Other than this, i don't see any direct way.

Also, you need to enable the following options on your report -
- Enable filter changes
- Display report filters

Yes the report is given to user as a report definition. We are able to let user access the report filter condition using "View Logic" in edit report option. However, the filter condition is read only. User only able to modify the filter label (A, B,F1, F2 etc.). Is there any way to let user also able to modify this filter condition from report browser? Do you know the section that is used in "View logic" option? Currently I can't use live ui for that.

Hi @alfin.putra: Please check if enable filter changes is selected in Report viewer tab. Once this is enabled, Users should be able to see a button named change logic towards the right end of the screen. (If there is a scroll, it wont be visible. Scroll to the right end)

@ArulDevan Thanks! I got it now. One of the filter conditions was read only so that's why I was only able to see view logic instead of change logic.
The solution that you mentioned seems to work but just wondering if we could have some sort of toggle maybe like a drop down for the ORs and ANDs in the filter condition. Could this be possible if we use a custom section for filters?

Hi @alfin.putra: PEGA default report filter section is final rule. You cannot override it. Even if you use a custom filter section, you will have option only to show the filter values. You cannot change the logic using custom filter section.
