Report Definition Pagination on background
Hello,
Can anyone explain how pagination feature works on background? Are pega fetch all data and store it in memory and then partially get it and display in Report Definition? Or Pega each time when we click on pagination make additional query to database with some parameters?

Paging allows the system to retrieve only the data needed for the current display, rather than the full set of data, and this can improve response time and reduce the size of the clipboard.

Hi ,
Let us say we have used the Reporrt as a source for the grid then and enabled pagination, then on each next iteration we fetch the data from the clipboard.
As by default for Reports the maximum records fetched is 100. The sam eyou can check in pyReportAggregates page in the clipboard.Hope this is helpful in understanding .

But when we have grid with RD as source and pagination enabled data from non-current page isn't in the clipboard. So every next iteration query database again.
