Dynamic sorting and pagination on a Report Definition
Hi,
I want to implement the dynamic sorting and pagination on a Report Definition rule.
here I have a set of columns defined, but the sorting and pagination values will differ for each request.
From the help I understand that creating a page of type Embed-QueryInputs and pass the page as a param.pyReportParamPageName to the activity pxRetrieveReportData will do this.
But from the activity pxRetrieveReportData definition, the step to do sorting and pagination using this param page is commented in V7.2.
So Can someone please help me in this regards.

And my question is about the parameter pyReportParamPageName passed to this activty as given in the example mentioned in this page.
Is step 16 the step you are referring to? It says this is commented out in order to support functionality to add or remove columns.
If you do a private checkout of this activity and uncomment the step, does the dynamic sorting/paging work for you?
I have not been able to get any additional information on this. The only response I have implies that this code interferes with another feature (add or remove columns), and was commented out for that reason. So it looks like we don't actually support the feature you are trying to use.
