Report Definition Drill Down with class joins and aggregation 7x
I have a need to be able to drill down from a report that does aggregations with joined data into a more detailed report that includes the same join logic, but doesn't aggregate (summarize) value in the sub report.
OOTB, it appears that only the primary class's properties will participate in the auto filter behavior. While the class joins appear to work as expected, I really need to find a way to pass down the selected child value to the sub report so that we don't have to sift through lots of extraneous data in order to find the rows that made up the summed result from the first list.
Has anyone found a way to do this?

Would it possible to add more clarity on what the main report and drill down report do and why there is a need for sub reports?
Also, does the drill down report configured have a sub report?

In this case, I am working with an existing application where structures were not designed with reporting in mind. I am working with a summary report where I had to create a sub report in order to summarize data from a child table. My issue is that counts and some key groupings come from the subreport which pulls data from a child class. When we try to click on subreport generated heading, the drill down report doesn't apply any of the conditions that allowed the subreport items to show up in the initial summary. If necessary, I can take some screen shots to better illustrate the issue.

Actually, I think I may know where my problem is. I just extended the report to include a separate column which is joined, but working in the drill down. I think the real issue is that I am trying to drill down using a calculated value which never seems to work.

As a follow up question, is there a way to get drill down reports to continue to use the logic that was created for the drill down to be applied in addition to the drill down filtering?
