Report definition drill down into months

Hi 

 

I have a requirement to filter report definition values based on from and to date given by the user. The volume column shall be broken down to monthly if the date range is more than a month. For e.g. if the date range is for a year, then letter volumes by analyst shall be broken down monthly (Jan,Feb…dec).

 

How to achieve this?

Start by using one of the OOTB "ByMonth" trend reports as an example to see how the monthly grouping is done.

If you want the reports to be different based on the date range, you will need to create 2 different reports.
