Repeat grid inline edit, on using click row to edit option row goes back to read only mode when clicked out of the grid.
Hi Team,
I have configured a layout as a repeat grid and I have set the row operation as inline mode and selected click row to edit radio button , So with this configuration on click of a row it will be editable but when users clicks else where the row is no longer editable , it goes back to read only mode.
Is there a way that the row remains editable even when users click out of the row?? I am using Pega version 7.2
Please help.

It's the default behaviour of Pega, if you want rows always in editable mode, choose Rows always editable option

Hi ,
We have a save button on click of save button the row data should save in DB and can become read only, but here as soon as i click out of the row or grid its becoming read only.
I know its the OOTB behaviour, but wanted to know is there way that we can achieve the same.

Hello Saba,
This is the expected behavior when using "Click row to edit". As the term states, the row will be editable only when the focus is on it. Clicking anywhere outside it will lose focus.
As Dharanitharan stated, you need to use the Always Editable setting for the sae.

We had simillar kind of requierment where user should see maximum of one row ediatble at a time and clicking outside of the grid should not become read-only, to my knowledge we dont have ootb feature for this. we did it as below
on row click refresh the section and invoke a data transform passing current index as parameter and set a flag which is used to make all fields editable and unset for all other list items.
Each row has save button corresponding to it to save the changes. on click of save reset the flag back again.

Any thoughts on the above question other than making row always editable....
I know its OOTB behaviour that the grid goes read only when its loses focus but wanted to know if there is any custom script that could be used to accomplish the above said requirement.
