Recommendation to avoid downtime during data schema Upgrade in Production
For upgrade from 8.3 to 8.6 , rules schema can be upgraded without downtime but Data schema needs to be upgraded via in-place manner which requires some downtime (at least 1-2 hours depending on the data size).
Is there any way we can avoid this downtime?

@Mayurk33 Upgrade from 8.3 to 8.6 requires downtime during data upgrade phase.
However downtime can be reduced by running "update existing applications" and "update applications schema" separately. Post data upgrade, from dev studio complete these steps..
To exclude above mentioned steps, in setupDatabase.properties file set below values.
update.existing.applications=false
update.applications.schema=false
