Rebuilding of database rules indexes after 7.1.9 to 8.5 upgrade mandatory ?

Hi - We have successfully upgraded 8.5  from Pega 7.1.9

 on Premise to On Premise | Pega platform | App server –WebLogic   Proprietary information hidden | DB Server – Oracle server Proprietary information hidden

Is it mandatory to run the stored procedure SPPR_REBUILD_INDEXES to improve database access performance ?

As we see there is no issue with the performance so far, is it mandatory to perform above step post upgrade?
