Ranking articles in order of Significance for Searching in KMHelpPortal
How does Pega KM OOTB apply ranking to articles? If we create an article in the KMKnowledge Portal and want the article to show in the KMHelpPortal in order of significance, what, if anything do we need to do when creating the article? For instance, if we search on "router", there could be 12 articles returned, however, we want the most relevant article to return based on category/taxonomy.

Pega KM relies on Pega platform to get ranking of articles for a given search text. Pega platform puts the ranking on a property called pzRanking which can be used to show most relevant article based on search results. Although Pega platform ranks the searched articles, PegaKM do not sort searched objects by their pzRanking values but by their "AggregateRating" values in descending order. In KMCombinedSearchRD, sorting can be performed on this ranking which has to be customized in the implementation layer
