PRPC 7.3 Issue is opening a file stored in local drive
I have a requirement to open a file using link stored in text property of workobject. The file is not attached to workobject but only the link is stored as part of workobject. I tried having the FileLink field as a Link control and open the Link in the click action but that did not work. Hence I handled this requirement by executing activity using java method in refresh section action. The FileLink is part of pagelist property and displayed in repeating grid. When any of the links is clicked for the first time the file is opening properly but after first time when user clicks any of the links(whether same as first link or other), the file is not opening. If I refresh the harness manually using the button Action ->Refresh, click the file link then the file opens properly.
I traced the events, the activity is executed properly but the file is not opened. The only difference between first time click and subsequent clicks is Reload harness is triggered automatically for the first time click but for the subsequent clicks reload harness is not triggered. Hence I tried to called reload harness as an additional then also the issue is not resolved.
Any light thrown on this issue would be of great help to resolve the issue.

Thank you for your response. The issue was handled by directly writing a java step in an activity to open the link using java.awt.desktop getdesktop().

Please share the link configuration snapshots.
Are you getting any script error on second time click(open developer console, then click on link for non-working case )

Thank you for your response. I am not getting any script error. Tracer logs are fine except that reload harness is getting triggered for the first click but not for second click(Actually the button click action is configured for Refresh Section, but after section refresh, reload harness is automatically called for the first click but not for the second click). Please find the fiddler URL request logs for first click and second click. Please let me know your views.

Hello Sudha,
Reload Harness might be getting called if in ReloadSection reponse expected response is not coming.
In case expected response is not coming, failover API is triggered in JS which calls for ReloadHarness.
Can you please share the configuration snapshots.

Thank you for your response, the file opening activity is configured in Refresh Section acion and the file is opened for the first click(when reload harness is triggered) hence i understand the refresh section responds as expected. From second click onwards reload harness is not called and the file is not opened. I have attached the Link click configuration snapshot. Please let me know if you have any views.

Hello Sudha,
Can you configure a link outside grid and call same RefreshSection RunActivity to check whether issue is happening only when action is done from Grid.
Also in Grid, try using on Click Open Local Action(from Actions->List Items), then add link there to run the activity, Check if working or not.
