Pega PRPC 7.3 Opening File from Shared Network Drive using Link without attaching the file to work object
I have a requirement to open File from Network drive on the click of a Link that is stored as property of the workbkect and displayed. It would be of great help if anyone provide any suggestions on the solution for this requirement.

I understand the question this way "you would like click on a link in the work object which open the file located in network drive". Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If my understanding is correct then you can use "link" control and refer a property that stores the path to file location. Below is the screen print. You can assign the value to the property using Data Transform,Activity or directly from user as per requirement.

Thank you very much for your quick response. This is something that I tried as a first thing after getting this requirement. Defining the Link control helps to display the path location text as Link(Higlighting the text in blue color, underlining the path and displaying hand symbol when hovering mouse over the link). However, the file is not opened on click of the link. I tried addition action set for click with Open a URL Window but no luck. Please let me know your suggestions.
