Production nodes not coming up after code deployment (UnresolvedAssemblyError).RCA please.

Hi Team,
Production nodes not coming up after the code deployment.
This is happening on regular basis.

Please find below for the error message.

Hi Team,
Production nodes not coming up after the code deployment.

The issue has been solved by implementing the below mentioned instructions.
1. Delete the contents of the PRPC temporary directory manually.
2. Delete Database cache:
TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr_sys_cache_entry;
TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr_sys_cache_impl;
TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr_sys_cache_dep;
TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr4_rule_sysgen;
TRUNCATE TABLE prpc72_rules.pr_assembledclasses;
3. Restart the application server.


Could you please suggest about the possible reason for this issue to happen on regular basis.

It's difficult to say without the full log entry.

The table truncation set that you have appears to be the cache tables for 6.x and prior. But the pzSharedTenant rule seems to suggest you are on some 7.x release. Can you confirm which Pega version you are using?

Please ignore the below mentioned tables list as they are not applicable for the version PRPC72.

TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr_sys_cache_entry;
TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr_sys_cache_impl;
TRUNCATE table prpc72_rules.pr_sys_cache_dep;

Please provide information about the reference points to crosscheck regarding the Assembly cache error which is preventing JVM's to startup.

I'm not too sure what this com.pegarules.generated.when.ra_when_pzsharedtenant_069d7b0bcc227753ad75337ab213a8a0 file is.

I've checked in my pr_assembledclasses for pzsharedtenant by I only find one instance and it doesn't tie in with 069d7b0bcc227753ad75337ab213a8a0.

Does this file appear in your PegaTemp /PRGenJava/com/pegarules/generated/when directory?

Not anymore.The PegaTemp directory has been cleared along with the truncation of the table PR_ASSEMBLEDCLASSES to bring up the JVM's.

Hi,

Please perform the below operations 

  1. Clear the Rule assembly cache from SMA.
  2. Delete the temp directory and restart the server.
  3. Additionlally user has done re-validate and save of user's rules.

The steps that you have mentioned has been applied and the issue has been resolved as well.But I am looking for the RCA and a permanent resolution about this issue as this is happening on regular basis.
