Code Deployment

Hi,

What are the necessary steps to follow for code deployments in QA environments?

What are all prerequisites required in server configurations perspective?

We have jar package (RAP) of development environment.

Please suggest me. Appreciate for your inputs / thoughts.

Hi Chaitanya,

You can Navigate to 'Migrate product' gadget as Designer Studio>Application > Distribution > Migrate Product — To create a product rule that packages work items.

And specify the target as below

Also it depends on your app server, for example if it is weblogic then you need to do setup as below before starting migration:

The source system (in your case 'DEV') needs to have the WebLogic role (as 'PegaDiagnosticUser') defined and a WebLogic user assigned to that role, and the target system (in your case 'QA) needs the security instance created to reference that role.  The Data-Admin-System-Target instance is optional.

Hi Chaitanya,

               If you are moving the development work to QA Environment from DEV Environment, then QA is the Target system and DEV is the source system. In your case the Target system is QA environments.
