Personal Edition 7.2.2 , not able to access SMA getting 404 resource not available error
Hi, I have installed personal edition 7.2.2 recently and tried to launch the SMA using ie. Getting the error as HTTP Status 404 - /prsysmgmt,
description The requested resource is not available.
Please let me know how to fix this issue. Appreciate your support on this.

Could you please check SMA URL entry in URL Setting landing page. It should have same host and port as PRPC application. After this log out and login again before trying. Hope this might help.
Please check the attached image to set SMA URL in Desginer Studio.

I hope you have deployed the SMA after PRPC install. If not, do it so.[ you can read instructions for the same]
For Tomcat, you can check the deploy status in the tomcat manager. Start it if it is not already running.

In addition to SMA, for Pega Help also there is a problem and other post says the lpallswHyd... Help URL will work. Doubt that as it is apperaing to be an internal URL to an org.
I feel the installation done from 115291_P722-PE.zip is not deploying / installing the SMA and Help war files.
Webapps directory screen shot from teh 7.2.2 PE is attached in comparison with PE 7.2.1.

Yes it is true that PE 722 does not brings SMA and help war installed with package. But manually you can do it if you need it. Goto Manage App of tomcat admin page and install corresponding war.

Yes i know Help can be accessible through PDN, the challenge is with SMA, you cannot download it separately, it comes in the distributive bundle. And it was not provided in the download of 7.2.2 Personal Edition.

I hope you are also checking for PE 722. If yes then PE 722 does not come with bundled SMA and help web app. SMA comes as part of PRPC media and if needed then you need to request PRPC media to get SMA.

Guys,
I wanted to connect to SMA to config a DB but never could get it done or could not find the SMA war file to deploy.
However I could get DB driver installed with out SMA. See below if that is what you want to do.

For help, Go to Designer Studio->System->Settings->URLS
Under resource URLs, for Online Help URL, add https://pdn.pega.com/sites/pdn.pega.com/files/help_v722
This should solve your help issue.
For SMA, If you have Pega 7.2.1 installed on your laptop, you can get prsysmgmt.war file from that installation folder and go to http://localhost:8080 and deploy that via tomcat. It worked for me. PM me if you don't know how to deploy a war file on tomcat.

In order to get SMA you need to copy prsysmgmt.war and prhelp.war into webapps folder of tomcat server folder. so when you start the server those two war's are deployed. Type localhost:8080 in your browser and click manager apps to see prsysmgmt in running condition. If you need any help regarding the process please reply to me.
