Want to connect to SMA to configure a DB but not successful
Guys,
I wanted to connect to SMA to config a DB but never could get it done or could not find the SMA war file to deploy.
However I could get DB driver installed with out SMA. See below if that is what you want to do.

I am little confused on the role of SMA with the article. SMA war file should be ideally present in the distribution image itself. Could you be little clear in the exact issue that you are facing?
Let me know if I am missing anything here.

As per https://docs-previous.pega.com/troubleshooting-sma-does-not-display-managed-connections do you want to check your Database connection in SMA?
First you need to deploy the SMA war file and then open this in Internet Explorer.
SMA is found under the archives folder as prsysmgmt.war/ear file. Please deploy it based on your application server.
However the article describes in great detail how to use Connector and Metadata Accelerator Wizard.

SMA war file will be in Archive folder of the media. You take that war or ear( depending on the server), then deploy it on that.
After deploying, http://<hostname>:<port number>/prsysmgmt/getnodes.action
Now here you will have add node option.
You could configure sma to monitor any PRPC node.

Hi,
I didn't understand your question exactly.
But there is no relation between SMA and DB installation. using SMA we can see the PRPC DB details with below navigation.
Advanced--> Database Management
you can also view the tables of the DB with Advanced--> Database Table Information tab

Sorry for the confusion.
I needed to access SMA to install MYSQL driver to make the connection. Personal edition did not have SMA bundled so I had to find other ways.
I managed to install the driver as per the link given in my original post and re-shared for others.
Hope this clears the doubt.
