Perform an action on collapse/expand of collapsible header
Hi Pega Community,
We have a requirement to configure Guided Tour for a collapsible header section.
We configured that with a ease(V7.4) but when the Section is in the expanded format the user is launching the guided tour and the respective tour details pops up and we have the pop up on top of the expanded section. In this scenario when user collapses the section the guided tour pop up is still on the screen and becomes a cut off element on the screen.
The approach to resolve this is to call the Manage Guided Tour Action item with configuration as Stop tour on section collapse. But the blocker is we cant find any way call this action item on collapse of the section.
Any resolution or a lead to resolve this will be very much helpful !

@vinoth_kumar Can you attach some screenshots walking us through the scenario/configuration so we can better visualize the problem statement?

@vinoth_kumar Thanks, this is much more clear now. I think I see too issues nested here. 1) Inability to configure an event on collapse/expand of a layout. This sounds like an enhancement. - So before that feature exists, it would be tough to configure anything, such as dismissing the guided tour. 2) Should the guided tour automatically dismiss upon collapsing a layout?
- I do not believe this should be automatic as this is independent action of the guided tour. Think about other actions you could/might take or interact with. (e.g modals, dropdowns, buttons) None of those actions would have the expectations to auto dismiss a guided tour as far as I understand the feature.

<Vinoth> Agreed, is this feature available in 8.x version? If not, is Pega planning to provide this enhancement in near future as would be very much helpful.

<Vinoth> Agreed, but when the respective field is not visible on the screen and showing the Guided Tour info for that field doesn't make sense. To resolve this problem only we are trying to Dismiss the Tour on collapse.
We are open to other approach as well provided that it resolves the above issue.

@vinoth_kumar I am not aware of any plans to implement action events on expand collapse. If you'd like this as a feature, I would work with moderators here to submit an enhancement request for future consideration.
In terms of the guided tour feedback, that seems valid. However, I don't know if the guided tour feedback would have any such intelligence to know if someone had hid a related field behind a collapsed layout or not. This sounds like another potential enhancement, but I am not an SME in this area. I would want others to chime in who are more intimate with that feature itself. But my gut feel? It sounds like another enhancement.

As you said I would like to have some configuration points where we could define our required action sets on either collapse or expand. I have seen many such posts related to this requirements in the Collaboration Centre. It would be really helpful to have this as a feature in future.
Could you kindly guided me to submit this as an enhancement request to a Moderator?
