pega_procom_pegaprocomutilities.checkActionWhens function is missing in Pega 8.5

We have an activity which referes the pega_procom_pegaprocomutilities.checkActionWhens function. But the function is missing in Pega 8.5 which causes the activity to throw the below exception. Please let us why is this function removed in 8.5 and what is the alternate provided for the same.

"Problem invoking function: pega_procom_pegaprocomutilities.checkActionWhens"
