Pega4 Update Questions
We are having issues with a PegaRues application, which is at V4, and a WebSphere® version of 5, and its running on a Windows 2003 server/
So everything about this is not supported, thus the need to get this updated. I am interested in looking at the easiest path, without updating the pega application. That would then require the applications services team, to need to get involved. My team manages WebSphere®, and the infrastructure it runs on. Here are my questions ...
1)) Can I run this Pega V4 on a WebSphere® 8.5.5, preferably on a Linux machine, but if not, on a windows 2012 Server?
2) If I need to upgrade Pega version, is there a utility that does this for us?
2) If we were to migrate to a newer version, what changes would we need to consider on the front end WebSphere® application that calls Pega ?

No this is not supported

you can not directly upgrade from Pega V4 to Pega 7 you need to rebuild the application in Pega 7.

When you rebuilt the application in Pega 7 you need to make sure that the supported WebShpere is used.
