Pega 7.4 Update Guide Schema question

Hello All,

the Pega Platform 7.4 Update guide instructs in chapter "Migrating the rules tables with one database" to set the following property:

pega.target.rules.schema=temporary schema

I do not understand what the "temporary schema" is. There exists only an "original schema" and a "new schema". Nowehere is the creation or usage of a "temporary schema" mentioned. Am I assuming correctly, that this is in fact the new schema? So for step "Migrating the rules tables with one database" the configuration should be:

pega.target.rules.schema=new schema

Arne,

Thank you for your question on https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/documents/pega-74-platform-update-guide, the section Performing an out-of-place update, the subsection Migrating the rules tables with one database.

In that subsection, Step 3 (where temporary schema is mentioned) links to Appendix A, Properties file parameters, where I expected temporary schema to be defined; it is not defined there.
