Pega 7.4 Update question

Hi

Our application is currently in 7.1.5 and in split schema with 1 rule schema and 1 data schema. For 7.4 update the instructions shows to use new schema for Rules and upgrade data schema. Cant we use the same rules schema and add necessary columns etc?

Please follow below "Pega 7.4 Platform Upgrade Guide" to do 7.1.5 to 7.4 upgrade. Replacing 7.1.5 war with 7.4 war will not work.

In Short, can I just replace 7.1.5 war with 7.4 war and use the same DB for 7.1.5. What is the issue I may face?

Hi Arvind,

Replacing 7.1.5 with 7.4 does not complete an upgrade.

PRPC stores all of its related code/data in Database, thus all schema upgrades are necessary.

Following upgrade guide is the right approach.
