PEGA version 8.2.8 vs 8.4.X

Hello,

Our PEGA version today is 7.3.1 ( Oracle / Websphere) I'm working on upgrade to PEGA 8. We've got one application upgraded to PEGA 8.4.2 (just the POC) but the issue with the node start sequence is problematic.

I'm then wondering about upgrading to PEGA 8.2.8. Could you please clarify these parallel releases. PEGA 8.2 is having patches/releases as well as PEGA 8.4. Are there major differences between PEGA 8.2 and PEGA 8.4 I know I should go to the latest versions but I know that today, 8.4 will not work properly today for our applications.

So, I'm thinking about an intermediate upgrade to 8.2.8. Could you please help with some info for the major differences between these 2 PEGA 8 versions evolving in parallel.

Hello,

I'm not finding back the post in which it was confirmed that nodes should better be started in sequence than as a regular cluster (all at once). I'm from 7.3.1 and for now, our applications are not using streams/kafka/nodetype/etc..

I've got one single small cluster / small app (2 servers/nodes) for which I'm facing issues right after the start and mainly linked to streams.

Yet, my initial question is still valid.

There are 2 versions evolving in parallel. 8.2 and 8.4.

So I feel that there are major differences.

So could you please help in explaining the major conceptual differences?
