Pega Upgrade from 7.4 to 8.7 version

Hi Team,

 

We are planning to upgrade Pega from Pega 7.4 to Pega 8.7, what will be the best approach to start this Upgrade.

 

Please suggest best approach for this upgrade.

Hello,

What's your technical context? PEGA 8.7 brings some restrictions. (eg: no websphere) and this might impact your technical infra.

Keep in mind that 8.7 is already in extended support.

Then, for your upgrade plan, it depends if you want to make a technical upgrade to run on 8.7 or whether you really want a good compliance score to be on 8.7.

If you really plan to upgrade, it's maybe worth to make an assessment whether 8.7 is really a required step or whether you shouldn't directly target a higher version.
