Pega Upgrade to 24.1
We are currently on Pega 8.8.3, and we want to explore what are options for upgrade while still trying to stay on prem. Need to understand all our possible options.
Here is what I have so far:
- 24.1 - VM, on prem (Last onprem upgrade)
- 24.2 - VM - BYO Kafka\Elastic Search
- 24.2 - Containers - BYO Kafka\Elastic Search \Postgress
- Either deploy on prem (EKS Anywhere)
- Or deploy to AWS
- Pega Cloud - Fully managed.
is this correct?

That is correct.
Embedded Elasticsearch (version 5.6.9) is deprecated Pega Platform '24.1. In Pega Platform '24.2, embedded Elasticsearch will no longer be available.
Embedded Kafka is deprecated in Pega Platform '24.1. In the following release, Pega Platform '24.2, embedded Kafka will no longer be available.

@MarijeSchillern @SuhasKumar Per the documentation, upgrading from 8.8.3 to 24.1 is a normal on-prem upgrade, without having to bring our own Kafka\ES. Correct?
