Pega PRPC - 7.2.1 - Activity called in Button Click Event's refresh Section Action is Executing multiple times

I am doing refresh section by calling an Activity on click event of Button of a section. This activity apparently runs multiple times. I am not able to figure out the reason for this. It would be of great help if you throw light on this issue.

Thank you very much for your input. Actually the issue was with activity running for long time, the section gets timeout, loses hold on the activity result and refresh the section again with the preactivity. Thats why the activity ran multiple times. We have handled this issue by splitting the steps of the activity to be executed and having multiple sequential refresh section actions.

Is the issue happening with all the browsers or any specific browser(IE) ??

I suppose On click you refresh the section :

there are two options run data transform / run activity.

Now uncheck the run activity and check the run data transform and provide a dummy data transform

Observation :1.  if the data transform runs multiple times then issue in the section (delete the section and recreate)

2. if data transform runs a single time the check the activity if any looping condition is there.
