Pega marketing tables created under public schema
hi All,
We imported Pega marketing module 7.31. Our developers came back and advised that the tables related to this module will have to create under schema externalmktdata whereas they are created under public schema. I ran the import again and saved the DDL and can see it tries to create the tables under public.
Now I was wondering if this is correct behaviour or if I missed something during configuration-setup-deployment that caused such behaviour.

In this guide it is clearly mentioned that you need to create the externalMKTData and then you need to enter the data source in the respective configuration file or if using JDBC URL set the respective jdbc url.
Please follow the guide to do the installation and let us know if you still face the issue.
It would be better to remove these tables from public schema and then do a fresh installation.

Thanks for the reply. Is ExternalMKTData a database or a rule? I followed the steps in the document and in section 'Creating the externalMKTData database rule' on page 7. I don't see a database being created on my RDS Postgres as result of following this step. And then during import of 'Rules/PegaMarketing_0731.zip', I get below error message on screen. (attached).
We already have a database Pega which we created inside our Postgres instance prior to deploying Pega CRM. Do I have to create another database myself in our Postgress instance called ExternalMKTData before installing Pega Marketing Module?

Hi Saman,
When you create an external database rule(referred in page 7 of the document) it is supposed to create a database.
Before proceeding for installation you should be having a new schema (Pega Marketing external Schema).
Please refer Prerequisites section present in Page 4 of the same guide.
