PEGA log level and and performance
PEGA Log Level and instrumentation for the analyses
We are having a complex workflow system multiple conditional logic and when we have any Prod incident, we are forced spend long time and create new logs in the code to get the root case.
When I speak to our PEGA developed and leads. I am told adding more logs to PEGA will impact the performance of the system. This seems an very high level statement
Normally any product, we will have a log level and we will change the log level to exception to minimize any performance impact.
Can I check if PEGA will have performance issue if we have logs at the debug level and disabled this using the log level...?

Usually we have seen (and wrote) debug log for this purpose in a java step in activity if (oLog.isDebugEnabled())
oLog.debug(sMessage);
In Data transform, @Default.pxLogMessage(sMessage,cLevel) method can be used
oLog.error and oLog.infoForced will print automatically. Incase of oLog.debug you need to enable debug loggers. System will log only when respective logger level set to this level.
Logger can be enabled in Admin studio ( use this when you have a multi node environment) Admin studio -> Log categories -> (Actions) -> <Create log category) -> (add logger).
