How to monitor Pega application's performance using Prometheus
How to use prometheus exporters or is there any documentation/article on what type of prometheus exporter can be used to monitor pega application metrics ?
JMX exporter can get underlying JVM metrics like memory , CPU usage. But how to get metrics associated to connect calls in pega or other events like how PDC collects and shows events ?

@Karthik Ramasubbu You can use the Prometheus JMX exporter to monitor Pega application metrics. To expose technical metrics from Pega to monitoring systems like Grafana and Prometheus, you can run the JMX exporter on your physical server. This will return the metrics whenever you hit its respective HTTP endpoint. If you want the data to be posted and pumped into another system like Grafana, you can follow the steps outlined in the Grafana blog on monitoring Java applications with the Prometheus JMX exporter and Grafana. You can use Kafka or MQ to share the data with Grafana.
For monitoring heap memory and setting the right JVM configurations, you can use JMX monitoring through open-source tools like JVisualVM for insights into the JVM heap and thread details. Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud (PDC) also provides monitoring capabilities for Pega Platform instances, collecting information such as resource usage, component health, and backing service information.
