PEGA Freezes while trying to open Section rule
- For PEGA 8.3 I have a rule in my branch that is also checked out. Each time I try to open, PEGA freezes. I have to close browsers and clear history for it to work again. So I tried deleting branch, but the Branch-ruleset remains. I tried deleting that ruleset but PEGA says it cannot delete because there is a rule in there. I can’t open the rule because PEGA will freeze. Is there another way to ‘discard’ my checkout or another way to delete this rule from my Branch-ruleset…

So we had to have another developer select Action>Release Lock on that rule.
Then we used Configure>System>Refactor>Ruleset to delete branch-ruleset.
Finally, we used bulk actions under checked out rules at the top right to discard checkout.

Is that section rule OOTB or your custom section?
Are you seeing any errors in the tracer or logs when you are trying to open the rule?
Could you please try deleting the ruleset from the Refractor. Configure-->System-->Refractor-->Ruleset.
