Pega Collection 8.3 Upgrade to 8.4 or 8.5
Hi All,
Currently we have Pega Collection 8.3 running in our environment (First Column). Because of we have plan to upgrade our Database (Oracle 12c) to Oracle 19c, we have to upgrade our Pega Collection as well (based on guideline, Pega 8.3 only support until Oracle 18c).
We plan either upgrade to 8.4 or 8.5, hence we request Pega Collection software package from Pega Digital Software, and we got these package below (Second Column and Third Column), and I only display list of software which we used.

The questions are :
1. Why Pega Marketing not mentioned in Pega Collections 8.5 software?

The questions are :
1. Why Pega Marketing not mentioned in Pega Collections 8.5 software?
2. If our aim only for Oracle Database Compatibility, Can we only upgrade the Pega Platform to 8.4 or 8.5? without upgrade other software. Let say, We have Pega Platform 8.4/8.5 and the other still in 8.3 version.

Hi @FerdinanP,
You should always upgrade to the latest General Available software, which is 8.5 as of this post. The latest version is the most stable and tested version. Unless you are facing a non-Pega issue with using the latest, I would recommend that you upgrade both Pega Platform and Pega Collections to version 8.5.
With regards to the list of applications you received, there have been some changes in Pega Marketing 8.5. One of the changes is that we rebranded "Pega Marketing" to "Customer Decision Hub". These two applications are one and the same. It is possible that this pre-requisite was missed in your software delivery due to this change. I can assure you that CDH is Pega Marketing and that this software is available for your upgrade to version 8.5. Please request the missing pre-requisite from Digital Delivery.
One more thing: In version 8.5 you can take advantage of the power of Next Best Action Designer for Collections. This is an optional step that requires some additional development and integration between your implementation of Customer Decision Hub and Customer Service applications. If you are interested to learn more, please review this document.
