Pega 8.7 Installation issue : Could not find java:comp/env/prbootstrap/ in the local JNDI context
Hello All,
I am trying to install Pega 8.7 Standard edition in my laptop with PostgreSQL 9.6. I am facing an issue in installation.
Please find the attached log file.

Pega 8.7 with PostgreSQL 9.6 & Java Version 17.0.2 is not a supported stack
According to the support guide for 8.7, your options are PostgreSQL 11, 12, or 13 and if you are using tomcat here are your versions of java:
Apache Tomcat 8.x (using Java 8)
Apache Tomcat 9.x (using Java 8 or 11)
I have installed Pega 8.7.1 Personal Edition on my system & this was an easy process that may be a good option to try for your laptop. Or else try with java 8 or 11 and PostgreSQL 11, 12 or 13

Thank you for helping me out @shanp. Not sure why installer is picking Java JDK (17.x) instead of Java JRE (8.x). I uninstalled JDK and able to install platform successfully.
