PDC Notification on Pega Cloud instance up/down
We have a business requirement to automatically notify business users when Pega Cloud instance goes down, and when comes back up online.
In PDC, I subscribed as below:
Diagnostic Cloud - Scorecards -> Manage Subscriptions -> subscribe to event 'Health status change'
I then rebooted the cloud instance but didn't receive any email notifications.
How do I receive notifications on system availability change?
We need the ability for PDC to notify users:
1. only once (one event) when Pega instance goes offline, and
2. only once (one event) when Pega comes online.
The notification should work irrespective of a scheduled or unscheduled reboot.

"Health status change" score card will be triggered once the health status changes (from warn to critical etc) and not for node going down.

Hi Arvind, I followed that article to setup subscription. Is 'Health status change' the right even to subscribe or am I missing something?
When cloud instance goes down, there are 100s of events generated and we don't want to notify users for each of them. I am looking for an event that simply denotes when a system goes offline or online.

There is a feature in PDC called Maintenance Mode. You can enable it so that no notification will be send to users during the scheduled maintenance mode. To enable this, click on the Diagnostic Cloud Menu --> System Administration --> Schedule maintenance mode, select the system and scheduled start and end time.

By the way, this is only for scheduled maintenance and if some cloud nodes are replaced automatically then there is no notification available as of now to tell the user that old node is replaced with new node.

Thanks, Karuppan. We would like to cover scenarios where we might not have 'scheduled' the reboot. For any reason, the system goes down, the client IT and business want to be notified automatically.
