PageList property refer to a data page
I have a pagelist property that is set to refer to a data page instead of manual data access.
What triggers the property to get populated? Do I have to refer to a property in an embedded page of that pagelist property like .A(1).b? If it turns out there are no pages to be returned by the data page wouldn't this cause an empty page in the pagelist to be created? For that matter by referencing property b it would cause that property to get created even if there is no value from the data page.
So what do I need to do to trigger this pagelist to call the data page property?

You can write a data transform and invoke the data page separately. Next step you can check if data page is empty or contain any pages and based on that you can refer to a property in an embedded page of that pagelist property like .A(1).b, this will not create empty page if no values written in the data page.

So you are saying force the data page to reload some other way other than referring to the property and then check the data page to see if it has at least one page and if it does then access the property so that it sets the property to the newly reloaded data from the data page? In other words there is no natural way of referring to the pagelist property to get the data page to reload?
