oversize attachment upload giving Jboss alert instead of Pega alert

Hi,

We have upgraded from 6.3 SP1 to 7.3 PRPC. The new version installed in Jboss 6.4 AS and Oracle DB.

We have set 5MB upload limit while adding attachment. When user uploads a file >5MB size, an 413 alert is coming with some response from Jboss which can't be closed anyway. There is a solution given in below article but doesn't resolve our issue.

Below is the message coming when size exceeds. Is there any way we can configure to show Pega warning instead of this Jboss error? Screen freezes when this error pops up.

Upon reviewing the associated SR, it was discovered that this was resolved by performing a local-change. Details can be found in SA-58577 Incorrect warning on oversize file attachment.

If you have the same issue, please reference the above SA.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the response. I think we should add the piece of code in the web.xml under servlet tag, but the XML file has many <servlet> tags in it.

say..

<servlet>
<servlet-name>WebHTTPService</servlet-name>
<display-name>WebHTTPService</display-name>
.
.
</servlet>

I have tried with adding the code inside below part, but no luck.

<servlet>
<servlet-name>WebStandard</servlet-name>
<display-name>WebStandard</display-name>
..</servlet>
 
Also, by default the size constraint is unlimited in Jboss if there is no additional code to limit the size like above. In that case pega itself should handle the error. Correct me if i am wrong.

Hi,

i have tried to reduce the size limit in DSS and uploaded  large file. Getting error message like above saying 4MB instead of 5 MB.

Have raised SR on this issue.SR-C28236
