Operator ID character limit
I haven't seen this happening in earlier versions of PEGA. But, with 8.2.2, when I'm trying to create an Operator ID with less than 8 characters in the Operator ID field, I'm seeing an error saying that "User ID is too short. Minimum length is 8 characters." The requirement with my client is to use Ids which sometimes could be less than 8 characters. How do we bypass the Minimum length issue?

The operator identifier (ID) length is defined via Security Policy in 8.2.2. - see the Help article "Managing security policies" for reference https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v82/procomhelpmain.htm#security/security-policies/sec-enable-security-policies-tsk.htm
Use Dev Studio, click Configure > Org & Security > Authentication > Security Policies to review the policy in your system.
The "Minimum operator identifier (ID) length" is defaulted to 8 but has a minimum value of 3 and a maximum of 64 as detailed in the "Security policies settings" Help reference at https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v82/procomhelpmain.htm#security/security-policies/sec-security-policies-settings-ref.htm
