Unable to create Operator ID with dash character
Hi,
Currently in our organization there are many userID's with dash in their userID and we are planning to implement SSO in Pega, but as this dash isn't allowed in Pega, its blocking in implementing SSO. I know the dash isn't allowed because it isn't allowed in java names. (dash means minus in java)
Due to the automated code generation from the data in Pega 7, therefore dashes are not allowed in Operator ID values.
Is it possible that dashes could be present for Operator IDs but encoded differently for storage and use by Pega 7.1.7 ? Please suggest

Unfortunately, I doubt we could do something in Pega about this. Please see related Support Article that was published for Pega 7.2.1

Hi Basavaraj,
This won’t work because we are passing ID with Hyphen to downstream application too and the ID should be common across all application.
