Opening a Case copied from an existing case such that on closing the user goes back to old case
Hi All,
I have a requirement to copy an existing case and open the newly created case . I have given a local action from the existing case from where the users can copy the data and create a new case . The requirement is to open the newly created case such that on close of the newly created case the user goes back to the old case . I am able to open the newly created case but when the user closes it , he goes to dashboard instead of the old case.
How to open the newly created case such that on closing the user goes back to old case.

How is your portal set up - do you open work objects in separate tabs or is it just a single work object displayed at a time?

Single work object at a time . We have enabled multi- document in the container such that the previous cases remain open when the user opens a new case.

Calling OOTB activity "CreateWorkPage" to create work page.

When I tried setting up the use case on my system, the new case did not open from my local action. It was created but the submit of the local action caused the review harness of the existing work object to display. Maybe someone else will be able to comment on those actions.
I tried using the 'Create Work' option on a button in my section and that worked fine. Maybe the old work object is being closed in your scenario. You could compare with using the 'Create Work' option on a button to see what is different.
