No of connection for pega Marketing
Hi All,
We have 13 nodes at UAT. Among all the nodes , we have 7 data flow nodes , 2 webuser nodes and 2 batch nodes.
Currently , we have our customer base is 40,000 at UAT. Default number of connection is 10.
Currently , when campaign is running , number of connections exceeds the default one at data flow node. Due to that we are getting proxy issues or slowness.
As the total connection was 70 , we have changed the no. of connection to 20 for each node.
Could you please help on what should be the tentative no. of connections in pega marketing projects if customer base is 2 million.
Is there anything specific area , we have to focus while calculating the no. of connections ?

Do you mean database connections? Your effort is a tuning exercise - which can be quite significant. There is really no simple answer for that as there are so many variables in an environment running Pega Marketing. For the number of connections question, typical connection pool size should be no less than 100 for a production environment.
