Need help in setting password for OAUTH2. 0 with a property reference
Hi , We created an operator profile with operatorid and password for authenticating OAUTH2 And referring pyUserIdentifier and pyPWCurrent properties with a datapage in User Id and Password fields of Authentication profile. the password in not decrypting and authentication is failing. Please help! or suggest us any alternate ways. Regards Vipul

We have just found the solution!!

We created a new Authentication profile and gave the User ID and Password to it(Credentials given by exteral system).  We are doing a lookup in to Data-Admin-Security-AuthenticationProfile and fetching the user id and password. Referencing the the user id and password properties using Datapage in Authentication profile (which uses OAUTH2.0)

Its working.

Hi Vipul,

Kindly provide some information on a few point that will help troubleshoot the issue.

1. Are you creating an Authentication Profile in Pega to connect to external Service which is OAUTH2 Authenticated.

2. Is the password not getting decrypted at Service Side ?

If this is the case , you might need to Base 64 Encode the values you are trying to send to the Service side.

Hi Sharv,

Thank you for the response.

1. Yes we are trying to connect to external system using OAuth2.

2. pyPWCurrent is not decrypted as its encoded with MD5 algorithm.

I tried to Decode or decrypt with all possible functions but no luck.
